Youth wins West Waterford junior scratch cup

Well done to Ian Bermingham of Mahon on his splendid victory in the West Waterford junior scratch cup on Monday.

The 15-year-old, a member of the Mahon team that won the All-Ireland junior foursomes last year, scored a 73 gross and is down to six handicap. Bermingham captured top spot on countback from Leo Spratt of the host club. Martin O’Sullivan, Fermoy, finished third on 74.
