Darcy aiming to go one better

EAMONN DARCY has his sights set on the second richest prize in European Seniors Tour golf when he tees up in the Ryder Cup Wales Seniors Open which starts at the Royal St David’s GC in Harlech this morning.

Darcy aiming to go one better

Darcy came second behind Carl Mason last week in Northumberland, the fifth time he has found himself in the runner-up spot since turning 50 in 2002. “One of these days I’m going to go one better,” said the Irishman. “I’m playing well but there always seems to be someone who does a little bit better.”

Darcy is joined in the field by Denis O’Sullivan, Liam Higgins, Eddie Polland and Paul Leonard.
