Clandeboye win after 35 year gap

They defeated Nenagh by five holes in a final played in pleasant conditions after torrential rain had threatened to be the spoilsport in the earlier part of the day.

Clandeboye, who have invariably been a formidable force on the inter-club scene, last captured the national inter-club foursomes title at Ballybunion in 1965 and now go forward over the next couple of days in search of the Barton Shield-Senior Cup double.
