Special finals in Munster

For sheer enthusiasm and commitment, allied to all-round enjoyment and celebration, it would be hard to match the attitude of Munster’s special olympians as they contested the Munster regional golf finals at Harbour Point last week.

Contestants from eight areas delighted the attendance in a programme that had just about everything - chipping over a net to a circle; putting from off the green to small circles, use of woods and irons as well as nine holes of strokeplay and matchplay.

Munster sports followers will have another opportunity to sample the atmosphere as the national finals are set for the same venue on June 24.
