Club move defeated

A move by the Tuam and Sligo clubs to reduce the handicap eligibility from five to four for the Irish Junior Cup was defeated at the weekend GUI AGM in Dublin.

Club move defeated

Also defeated was a Bandon motion asking that the National Mixed Foursomes competition be played in handicap order.

Old Conna and Co Sligo sought a full handicap allowance for fourballs (it is three quarters) but this was also lost. Mahon wanted anti-poaching statements included in the Charter for Junior Golf as well as the GUI Constitution but the motion was referred to the National Junior Committee for further examination.
