Parnevik off to a flyer

Jesper Parnevik and Peter Lonard began the third round of The Open at Muirfield in fine fashion.

Sweden's Parnevik, having survived the halfway cut with nothing to spare at two over, resumed with birdies at the first two holes.

Australian Lonard parred the difficult first, but then rattled off birdies at the next three holes to improve to one under. It was not all sparkling scoring among the early starters, however.
