Chapman inspired by O'Meara

England's Roger Chapman waited 472 events for his first European tour victory and has played more than 100 since that day in Brazil four years ago.

However, for a while over the weekend, it appeared that the drought would be ended when he shot a brilliant 66 in the third round of the Qatar Masters.

The 44-year-old confessed he was cheered by seeing Mark O'Meara, three years his senior, win the Dubai Desert Classic recently.
