McCarthy joins Ladies Golf Union

Denise McCarthy has joined the administrative staff of the Irish Ladies Golf Union following a two-year stint with the Irish Hockey Association.

She is well-known in both sports and, as a member of Woodenbridge Golf Club, played for Ireland between 1988 and 1995, as well as the European Team Championship in 1993.

An Information Technology expert, Denise joins Sandra Barnett, Bernie Cullen and Geraldine Carmody at ILGU Headquarters in Clonskeagh in Dublin. The Union also appointed Sinead Heraty as Chief Executive in recent weeks.
