Seniors showdown at Aberdovey

England and Wales face a final day showdown at Aberdovey today to decide who takes the Seniors Home Internationals title.

Both countries earned their second victories today, England humbling Scotland 7-2 and Wales overcoming Ireland 5-4.

England and Scotland shared the foursomes one win apiece with one match halved.

But it was a different story in the singles with England only being denied a clean sweep when Brian Grieve holed a four-foot putt on the last for a half against Gordon Broster.

Wales edged the foursomes 2-1 which was just as well as the Irish battled back to share the singles 3-3. Scotland and Ireland will meet in the other match to decide who takes the wooden spoon.
