Morrin triumphs

Maura Morrin, The Curragh, was outstanding on the greens when winning the McGregor Leinster Ladies Golf Championship at Forest Little yesterday, triumphing 5/3 over 19 year old Vicki Power (Brampton Park) and finally winning the match with a spectacular eagle.

In the junior final Marie Mallin (Forest Little) had to go to the 19th before beating Olive Shannon (Malahide) in a match in which Shannon dominated early on but still had to hole a monstrous putt at the 18th to bring the match to the tie hole.
