Scott joins star billing

ADAM SCOTT, a star in the making ever since he shot the lowest round by an amateur on the European Tour with a 63 four years ago, has finally attained stellar status.

And he feels ready to add a real major to the unofficial one he captured on Sunday following a dramatic climax to the Players Championship golf's richest event in Florida.

After taking over from Fred Couples as the youngest winner in the tournament's history, the 22-year-old Australian said: "It's got to give me a lot of confidence going into Augusta."
