Qualifying took place over the last four months and six-handicapper Hurley emerged top of the field of 26 with 33 points in testing wind conditions.

Ray held on from Pat and John Stakelum of Thurles who recorded 32. The winner’s trophy and an array of prizes were sponsored by Waterford Crystal.
