Good news for Clarke
The McGinleys and the Clarkes relaxed in the sumptuous surroundings of the Sandy Lane Hotel complex before preparing for the final major of the season, and McGinley had positive news on the health of Clarke’s wife.
“Heather’s really unbelievable. I know she’s not out of the woods yet and I don’t want to get too excited about it, and there’s a big scan when she gets back. But she looks great, she was in great form and we were all looked after,” he said.
“Darren and I were able to practice and play the Green Monkey course each afternoon. The course is fabulous and we were the only ones allowed to play it. I’ve never seen Darren in such good form."
