PGA announce dates for Ryder Cup

THE PGA of America has announced that The Ryder Cup at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, will be played from September 19-21, 2008.

The biennial contest will be the largest international sports event held in Kentucky. The Jack Nicklaus-designed Valhalla has been host to the 1996 and 2000 US PGA Championships, the 2002 PGA Professional National Championship and the 2004 Senior PGA Championship.

Valhalla, ranked Number 70 in the most recent list of "America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses," by Golf Digest, was the scene of Tiger Woods' US PGA Championship play-off victory over Bob May in 2000.
