O’Keeffe and Harrington take Crosbie foursomes

The annual Crosbie Senior Foursomes at Cork Golf Club yesterday was won by senior internationals Patrick Harrington, Muskerry and Gerry O’Keeffe from Waterford.

Their 74 on the second day saw them overtake the eventual runners-up, Oliver O’Mahony and Jack Callan, both of Cork GC, who had led after the first round with a fabulous 73.

The ever reliable Noel Hayes of Doneraile and former Irish close champion Jackie Harrington (Adare) finished third, edging out last year’s winners, Hugh MacKeown and Peter Cowley of Cork.

There was a record entry of 216 for the 17th running of the event.
