Daly not ruling out making American Ryder Cup team

ALTHOUGH lying only 26th on the American PGA Tour's qualifying list, John Daly is not ruling out making the American team for the Ryder Cup at Oakland Hills in September.

Whether he makes the team or not, he believes the PGA of America could do a lot more to take some of the needle out of the biennial clash and also to curtail some of the worst excesses of the supporters.

Speaking in Blarney yesterday where he turned the sod on a new course he has co-designed, Daly said that he finds it upsetting that fans are allowed to bait opposition players.
