Irish Open website launched

NISSAN IRELAND has launched the Nissan Irish Open website at www.nissan-irishopen.ie.

The site aims to provide visitors with a user-friendly website to the inaugural 2003 Irish Open, at Portmarnock Golf Links from July 24-27.

For the first time on an Irish Open website golfing enthusiasts will be able to register for free text alerts to ensure they are kept up-to- date with all the developments of the event.

The site will also provide visitors with details about the event including its history, ticket information, profiles of past winners and this year’s competitors and a full overview of the Portmarnock Golf Links including Strokesaver details for each hole.

Visitors to the site can also enter into a competition to win tickets to the first Nissan Irish Open. Between now and July 24 two pairs of tickets will be given away to two visitors every week.

Direct links to the European Tour website will also be provided so that users can gain up-to-date information on all other European PGA Tour Events in the weeks leading up to the Nissan Irish Open.

During the event a live scoring facility will also be available on the website so visitors can keep up-to-date with all the developments, as they happen.
