Boy’s team for Finnish event named

IRELAND’s team for the European Boy’s Team Championship has been announced.

The event will be played from July 6-10 at Kymen Golf Ry in Finland. The team is: David Daly (Muskerry); Karl Gilbert (Malone); Nicky Grant (Clandeboye); Rory McIlroy (Holywood); Cian McNamara (Limerick) and Aaron O’Callaghan (Douglas).

The non-travelling reserve is Seamus Power (West Waterford) and the non-playing captain is Ciaran Burke.

The Irish youths team for the Europeans at the Island GC in Dublin, on July 6-10 is:

Clancy Bowe (Tramore); Stephen Crowe (Dunmurry); Harry Diamond (Holywood); Paul O’Hanlon (Curragh); Cathal O’Malley (Westport) and Niall Turner (Muskerry).

The non-travelling reserve is Ciaran McAleavey (Banbridge) and the non-playing team captain is Michael Burns.
