Prizes await in long drive championship

THE winner of this weekend’s RE/MAX Long Drive Championship of Ireland at Hollystown GC tomorrow could win $100,000 at the World Championships in America in October.

The qualifiers from the Irish Championship, five open, two ladies and two seniors will compete in the European Long Drive Championship final also at Hollystown on Sunday.

Five open, one lady and one senior will then qualify to compete at the World Championships in Las Vegas. First prize in the open division there is $100,000, with $25,000 on offer to the leading senior and $10,000 for the ladies champion.
