Pat Sullivan has been appointed manager of the Cork senior ladies football team.

The Dungarvan clubman has been handed a three-year term, with a review after two years. He succeeds Joe Carroll, who decided not to seek a second term after his initial two-year tenure ended at the conclusion of the season.

This year, Carroll guided Cork to their first Division 1 league title since 2019 before their championship campaign ended with an All-Ireland quarter-final defeat to Dublin.

Sullivan most recently managed Kildare for two seasons, leaving the role in July. They retained their Division 1 status and reached the All-Ireland quarter-finals, losing to Kerry, during his first campaign. Although relegated from Division 1 this year, Kildare contested the Leinster final against Dublin and again reached the All-Ireland quarter-finals, losing to Armagh.

He previously had two spells in charge of Waterford, leading them to the All-Ireland intermediate title in 2015 and Division 3 league honours the following year.

Inch Rovers’ Noel O’Connor will serve as coach under Sullivan, while Mourneabbey’s Sandra Conroy has been appointed selector and support coach. Ciaran Burke will be the lead strength and conditioning coach, with Eoin Cadogan providing gym support.

Kelley Fay has been appointed sports psychologist and performance coach, while Paul Cox will serve as team nutritionist. Bride Rovers’ Irene Hogan will be the female liaison officer, with Donna Dempsey taking on the role of logistics manager.
