Over one million tuned into Mayo's All-Ireland win

At its peak, 1.105 million people watched the game on the national broadcaster RTÉ

RTÉ’s coverage of Mayo’s historic All-Ireland SFC final win over Kerry on Sunday had an average viewership of 943,500.

At its peak, 1.105 million people watched the game on the national broadcaster’s terrestrial platform and the audience share was 81.78%. In total, there were also 566,000 streams on the RTÉ Player.

Limerick’s victory against Galway in the previous Sunday’s All-Ireland SHC final had an average viewership of 788,000, and a peak of 862,000. It had 350,000 stream views as well.

Later that evening, RTÉ’s broadcasting of the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina, was watched by an average viewership of 1.037m and a peak of 1.16m with another 1.4m streaming views.
