After making five changes for their most recent clash with Waterford, an announced Tipperary team comes with a health warning.
However, Liam Cahill has at least declared two changes to the side that began the draw with Waterford for Saturday evening’s Munster SHC clash with Clare in FBD Semple Stadium.
Seamus Kennedy and Sam O’Farrell exit the team and in come Craig Morgan and Jason Forde. All but two of last year’s All-Ireland starting team are named – Tynan for Conor Stakelum and Oisín O’Donoghue for O’Farrell the only alterations.
After playing over 35 minutes for the U20s in the county’s loss to Clare in Wednesday’s Munster final, O’Donoghue is set to play. Stefan Tobin, who played every minute, is included among the substitutes as is U20 vice-captain Jamie Ormond.
Waterford make three changes for their last Munster SHC game against Limerick on Sunday.
Injured Stephen Bennett, Ian Kenny and Iarlaith Daly are replaced by Reuben Halloran, Shane Bennett and Tadhg de Búrca.
Fit-again Aaron Gillane returns to the Limerick side for their meeting. However, captain Cian Lynch is selected on the bench after serving his one-match suspension.
Gillane is one of two changes to the side that commenced the win over Clare – the Patrickswell man replaces David Reidy, while Dan Morrissey is in for Peter Casey.
Clare will also be expected to make personnel switches following their 15-point loss to Limerick last Sunday week. However, they have released the same starting 15 for the game.
David Fitzgerald returns from injury to take his place as a listed substitute. John Conlon and David McInerney are also named on the bench.
Waterford need to beat Limerick for the first time in the history of the provincial round-robin structure to retain a chance of qualifying from the Munster SHC.
For their clash with Galway in Salthill on Saturday, Dublin make one change from the side that started last Saturday’s Round 3 victory over Wexford.
Conor Groarke replaces Paddy Doyle in the full-back line while Liam Rushe is set to retain his spot at centre-back.
Although they are to face Kilkenny in Parnell Park the following weekend, manager Niall Ó Ceallacháin insists the county are going all out to win in Pearse Stadium.
“If we win this weekend, we’re through,” he told Dubs TV. “We can talk about looking to next week or two weeks’ time, it doesn’t serve any purpose to us. It’s very clear to us – if we win this weekend, we’re through.
“It’s the same for them but even more in that if they win, they’re in a Leinster final as well. It’s all on the line and that’s what we’re going at.”
Adrian Mullen has been included in the Kilkenny panel for Saturday’s Leinster SHC Round 4 clash with Kildare in UPMC Nowlan Park. Injured Jordan Molloy’s spot on the team is taken by Harry Shine.
Meanwhile, Dublin have announced the same 15 that began the Leinster semi-final win over Louth for Sunday’s final against Westmeath. Captain Con O’Callaghan and Eoin Murchan are not named in the 26-man panel.
