Dingle's Tom O'Sullivan has been named club footballer of the year after his side's All-Ireland winning campaign. O'Sullivan was a lynchpin for Dingle in both defence and attack as they won a first Kerry title in 77 years and a maiden All-Ireland. O'Sullivan scored 0-11 in the All-Ireland series and 0-15 overall.
For the second time, Ballygunner's Dessie Hutchinson was named club hurler of the year. He previously won in 2022. The forward was man of the match in the Munster final victory over Éire Óg and the All-Ireland semi-final against St Martin's. He scored 2-21 overall in Ballygunner's campaign.
“I want to salute Dessie and Tom for all that they achieved with their clubs and for playing such an instrumental role in making this such a memorable AIB GAA Club Championship campaig," said GAA president Jarlath Burns.
"The standards on view in the All-Ireland club championship are incredibly high, and it takes players of real craft and intelligence to influence those big games. Dessie and Tom were exemplary and Ballygunner and Daingean Uí Chúis owe them a lot.
Kilkerrin-Clonberne's Siobhán Divilly was named ladies football club player of the year. Divilly was player of the match in her side's All-Ireland final victory over St Ergnat’s in December, a win which sealed a fifth consecutive title for the club.
Athenry's Lisa Casserly was named camogie club player of the year as her side earned their first Galway senior title since 2009 and went on to defeat St Finbarr's in the All-Ireland final after a replay.
