Former Cavan manager Raymond Galligan has explained his involvement with the Galway footballers is not a goalkeeping role, but with the entire group.

As first reported on the Irish Examiner Gaelic football podcast last month, Galligan is part of Pádraic Joyce’s coaching team for the 2026 season. After the 2025 campaign, two-time All-Ireland winner John Divilly departed.
