Media engagement has been a rare enough occurrence since he took up local reins ahead of the 2024 season.

The Barrs footballers are an open and accessible bunch. No matter the time of year or how results are going, the shutters are never pulled down. That’s just not their style out in Togher.

Players are available and agreeable to chat after every game. One player made himself available for a sit-down interview four days before a recent Munster championship fixture. This week's Munster final press night was held five days before throw-in.
