Cork will immediately begin the process of appointing a new senior hurling manager for 2026 after Pat Ryan confirmed Saturday that he will not be seeking another term in the Rebel hot seat.

Ryan confirmed in a statement that Cork GAA had requested him to remain on as manager into a sixth season and beyond, but after consultation with his family and close associates, he felt it was time to call a halt to his time in charge.
