THERE is a culture of machismo in GAA dressing rooms. Culture has become a cliched word in sporting circles. Strip back all the fluff and culture is just a word to describe what people accept as the norm in their surroundings.

For clarity (my own clarity), machismo is “aggressive male behaviour that emphasises the importance of being strong rather than being intelligent and sensitive”.
