Cathal McCarthy, Cork minor football captain, has been successful in his appeal against the red card he received two weeks ago report The Echo.
McCarthy was sent off with seven minutes to go in the Munster MFC final loss in Austin Stack Park in Tralee to Kerry.
Timmy McGrath issued the surprised defender a red card following an off the ball incident. However the card had no impact on the result as Kerry won the game 0-18 to 0-9 but the card came with a one match ban.
McCarthy was due to miss Saturday's All-Ireland quarter-final clash with Tyrone in Portlaoise but looks free to play following a hearing on Wednesday and is a boost for the Cork side.
