Post-match: Declan Dalton's is RTÉ man of the match. Pat Ryan: "I thought we went away from how we wanted to play. I thought our energy was down in the second half. I thought we gave away too many short puckouts in the second half to a team down to 14 men." He says Rob Downey, who went off injured in the first half, has a "bad dead leg".
73 mins: Horgan knocks over another free and Johnny Murphy blows the full-time whistle.Â
71 mins: Patrick Horgan makes amends for a free missed minutes ago, one which visibly frustrated him, by firing another over. Willie Connors then replies for Tipp.Â

A thriller in Walsh Park. Both sets of supporters and sidelines contesting every ball and it’s clear they see the relative rookie referee Chris Mooney as somebody who can be swayed.
Waterford started impressively but had a large lull towards end of half and haven’t done enough with the wind behind them. Playing the short game in the second half may suit them better but Clare won't be unhappy with the deficit.
