Carlow appoint Naas boss Joe Murphy as Shane Curran successor

The Carlow native led Naas to the last three Kildare SFC titles.

Carlow have appointed Naas manager Joe Murphy to replace Shane Curran ahead of Sunday’s Leinster SFC preliminary round game against Meath in Navan.

A native of Carlow, Murphy has led Naas to the last three Kildare senior football titles. The Éire Óg man has joined on an interim basis for the championship, although there are suggestions it may be on a more permanent arrangement in the future. It also appears he has left his position in Naas.
