Cork's heartening campaign not enough for promotion - but is this developing side ready for Division 1 football yet?

Unlike last year and 2023, they also won more games than they lost and but for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in Newry in February they may well be a Division 1 outfit.

Come the end of the season, Cork will again give due consideration to why promotion persists in eluding them.
