The second round of the McCarthy Insurance Cork Football Leagues was played out across the long weekend and when it ended, there were three teams who managed to make it two wins from two in Division 1.
Clonakilty were the last team to keep their perfect record alive after they logged an impressive 2-13 to 0-6 win over Douglas in Aghamilla on Sunday morning. Such a result seemed unlikely at half time as the city side led by 0-5 to 0-3 with Jack Cunningham clipping 0-2 and Kevin Shanahan also on target. Clon took over thereafter. Liam Griffin helped himself to 1-2, Sean White brought his tally to 0-4, Sean McEvoy struck for the second goal while Jonathan Leahy kicked three second half points for the home side as they now sit on top of the table.
