When Armagh and Kerry met in the league in Armagh three years ago, it was, incredibly, their first clash in ten years. That previous meeting, in round 2 of the league in 2012, saw Armagh record their first win against Kerry since the famous 2002 All-Ireland final.

They hadn’t met because Armagh were relegated at the end of that 2012 campaign and didn’t return to Division One again until 2021. With the league groupings based on a condensed geographical format in 2021, it took another year for the counties to finally lock horns again.
