Cork football captain Brian Hurley and Tommy Walsh are rated “50/50” to play some part in Sunday’s potentially season-defining fixture at home to Louth.

The Cork management were hoping their extensive injury list might ease somewhat ahead of Louth’s crucial visit, but John Cleary told the Irish Examiner on Wednesday lunchtime there are no guarantees that even one player will leave that list to help the cause this weekend.
