We’ve mentioned a couple of times in recent weeks the correlation between a county’s underage strength and the progress of their nurseries in the Harty Cup.

The past two years has seen two first-time winners of the Munster post-primary competition. Both hailed from Premier Country. In 2023, you had Cashel Community School making history, followed by further history 12 months later from Nenagh CBS. The first of those wins, it should be added, came after an all-Tipp decider.
