A fundraiser for Clare underage GAA player Joe Slattery, who suffered a life-changing injury last week when training with his club Corofin, has raised almost €400,000 in just over 24 hours.

"We are blown away by the generosity of response. It’s humbling," wrote Joe's uncle Clive on fundraising website gofundme.com.
