GAA president Jarlath Burns will meet with Northern Ireland sports minister Gordon Lyons in Belfast on Thursday as stakeholders assess the fallout from the UK Government’s decision not to build Casement Park in time to host Euro 2028 games.

Speaking last week, Lyons confirmed £62.5 million (€75m) funding remains in place for the stadium. The Government have reiterated their £42m (€50m) to the project, while the GAA’s contribution to the rebuild is £15m (€18m).
