GPA says call for return of pre-season comps shows disregard for players

The GPA fears "the players’ voice seems to have been disregarded, raising concerns about attitudes towards player welfare and proper recovery time."

The GPA has "serious concerns" over calls to reinstate the GAA's pre-season competitions.

In September, the GAA's Central Council elected to suspend traditional competitions such as the McGrath Cup and O'Byrne Cup to ease the workload on players.
