Finals in Armagh, Tyrone, Longford, Wicklow and beyond called off due to Storm Ashley

Storm Ashley has caused yet more disruption to the weekend GAA fixture list with the Armagh senior football final the latest game to be postponed. County finals in Tyrone, Longford, Fermanagh, Derry and Wicklow also fell victim to the wild and windy conditions.
The Armagh decider between Clann Eireann and Clan na Gael was postponed at the very last minute with a large crowd already gathered inside the Athletic Grounds and the curtain-raising Intermediate Football Final having already gone ahead.

The Wicklow senior football decider between Baltinglass and Tinahely, scheduled for 3pm in Aughrim, will now be played next Saturday, October 26.
The Fermanagh football final, meanwhile, between Enniskillen Gaels and Erne Gaels Belleek, has also been pushed back until next Sunday.
Wicklow GAA chiefs say they decision was made amid "health and safety concerns regarding the winds forecast during Storm Ashley."
The Tyrone SFC final between Trillick and Errigal Ciarán is the latest fixture to be postponed while the Longford football final replay between Abbeylara against Colmcille - has also falled foul of the conditions.
The Derry senior hurling final between Slaughtneil and Banagher was also called off and rescheduled for next Saturday at 2pm.
Earlier, the Clare senior hurling final and two Galway senior hurling semi-finals slated for Sunday were postponed.
The Clare SHC showdown between Feakle and Sixmilebridge, scheduled for Cusack Park in Ennis on Sunday afternoon, has now been provisionally fixed for the same venue on Bank Holiday Monday, October 28.
All GAA fixtures in Galway and Clare planned for Sunday have also been called off - with the Galway hurling decider moved back a week as a result.
The Mayo SFC final, which was due to take place on Sunday afternoon between Knockmore and Ballina Stephenites, was postponed too and will now take place next Saturday evening in Castlebar.
