“Long overdue” is the general reaction of Leinster interprovincial manager Dessie Dolan to the Football Review Committee (FRC) rule changes that will be on show in Croke Park on Friday evening.

A card-carrying member of the expansive game, the former Westmeath boss is fully behind the efforts to improve the game for the participants and the viewers, which will be first seen by the public when Leinster face Connacht in their interprovincial semi-final.
