Dylan Geaney thinks Dingle would have taken the same option as David Clifford from a late penalty in Sunday's Kerry SFC semi-final against East Kerry. Clifford missed an injury time spot kick which, had he scored, would surely have sealed a place in the decider for the defending champions.

When referee Brendan Griffin pointed to spot in the second of three added minutes after Paul Geaney had fouled Ronan Buckley, with sides deadlocked at 1-12 to 2-9, it looked curtains for Dingle. However, Gavin H Curran saved the kick, the game went to extra-time and Dingle dominated in the additional 20 minutes to set up a final against Dr Crokes.
