Tipperary forward Patrick 'Bonner' Maher has announced his retirement from inter-county hurling. The three-time All-Ireland SHC winner confirmed his decision via the county board on Monday.

Lorrha man Maher, who turns 35 next week, departs the scene having claimed Celtic Crosses in 2010, ’16 and ’19. He also won five Munster SHC titles (2009, '11, '12, '15 and '16) and All-Stars in 2014 and ’16.
