Limerick hurling boss John Kiley will be able to draw upon the expertise of several new faces as he looks to regain the All-Ireland SHC title in 2025.

Their bid to win the Liam MacCarthy Cup for the fifth time in as many years came to a halt at the hands of eventual runners-up Cork at the semi-final stage in 2024, and Kiely has now added a number of new influences for the coming season.

Kiely and head coach Paul Kinnerk had already committed for two more years, with backroom team members Alan Cunningham and John Flavin also staying put.

According to Limerick Live, Kiely's setup was altered on Thursday night, and that the revisions will be approved at Tuesday night's county board.

Both Donal O'Grady and Aonghus O'Brien depart before the 2025 season, with O'Grady taking over the Limerick minor hurling reins from fellow former Limerick hurler Shane Dowling.

Cappamore's Liam Cronin will link up with Kiely and Kinnerk as coach after serving as part of Cork's All-Ireland camogie team this year. Cronin previously worked with the Dublin and Clare senior hurlers.

The strength and conditioning department has also seen changes, with Adrian O'Brien, - father of Limerick full-forward Shane - replacing Cairbre Ó Cairealláin, while it is understood that Paul Kilgannon will replace Joe O'Connor as the performance lead, a role held admirably by Caroline Currid throughout Limerick's recent dominance.
