Donal Óg Cusack is back on the inter-county sideline after being confirmed as the new Cork U20 hurling coach.

Cusack is the high-profile name in new manager Noel Furlong’s backroom team that was unveiled during Tuesday’s behind-closed-doors Cork county board meeting.

Furlong recently succeeded Ben O’Connor, the latter stepping down after two years at the helm, the first of which yielded All-Ireland glory.

Cusack was last involved with a Cork team when serving as county minor manager during the covid-disrupted 2020 season. Cork were well beaten by Limerick in that year's Munster MHC semi-final.

Also part of Furlong’s 2025 U20 backroom team are Seán Guiheen, Tadhg Óg Murphy, and Vincie Hurley.
