The group stages of the Munster and Leinster senior hurling championships came to a dramatic conclusion on Sunday afternoon.
That means we now officially know the four teams who will contest the respective provincial finals while the road leading to the All-Ireland showpiece occasion has appeared on the horizon.
Wins for Dublin and Kilkenny, against Galway - who crash out - and Wexford respectively, sees them meet in the Leinster decider at Croke Park on Saturday night June 8.
Further south, victories for Limerick and Clare, against Waterford - who also crash out - and Tipperary ensures the Treaty and the Banner will contest the Munster finale for the third year in a row on Sunday June 9.
Those results also ensure that Cork and Wexford progress to the preliminary All-Ireland quarter-finals on the weekend of June 15 and 16 with the Rebels facing the winners of the Joe McDonagh Cup final between Laois and Offaly, which also takes place on June 8, and the Model county taking on the runner up.
The winner of Cork’s preliminary quarter-final will come up against the Leinster final runner-up up on June 22 while the winner of Wexford’s preliminary quarter-final will take on the Munster runner-up on June 23 in the All-Ireland quarter-finals proper, both games being played at Thurles.
