Proud Davy Fitzgerald disputes late decisions that cost Waterford

The Waterford boss had a number of issues with the late 65 awarded to Clare.

Davy believed and he felt. What evidence those beliefs and feelings leant on, we don’t know. What we do know are his thoughts surrounding that controversial and game-winning Clare 65.

It is the view of the Waterford manager that the ball went wide and so no injury-time 65 should have been awarded. It is also his view that the final whistle should not have sounded after Rodgers put Clare one in front.
