Picking up rhythm is how Paul Murphy likes to think Kerry’s championship is moving.

They are hardly setting the world alight but the wily defender feels two workmanlike performances against Cork and Clare will serve them better in the All-Ireland group stages than last year’s hammerings of The Banner and Tipperary before they were upended by Mayo in Killarney.
