Eoin Cody could miss the remainder of the Leinster senior hurling championship round-robin stages with an ankle injury.
The 2023 All-Star is understood to have suffered ligament damage in last Sunday’s provincial round one win over Antrim in UPMC Nowlan Park.
Cody was replaced early in the second half after picking up the setback and is expected to be out for up to six weeks.
The Ballyhale Shamrocks man along with club-mate Adrian Mullen and Eoin Murphy are considered doubts for Sunday’s round 2 game against Galway in Pearse Stadium.
Mullen was replaced after 14 minutes after reporting a groin issue while All-Star goalkeeper Murphy did not return to action having been replaced at half-time with a head injury.
In 2018, Murphy missed games with whiplash while he has experienced concussion on a number of occasions, the latest experience coming last season when he was also removed from a game at half-time, the Division 1B, Round 4 game against Dublin. He was sidelined for the following fixture with Waterford.
Mullen underwent an operation on his hand after damaging it in last May’s Leinster SHC final round clash with Wexford.
He was absent for the provincial final win over Galway but came back for the All-Ireland semi-final victory against Clare.
