GAA president Jarlath Burns is to explore the possibility of the third level championships being played over a more meaningful period in the GAA calendar.
Speaking at the launch of the Mary Immaculate College Gaelic Games club in Limerick on Monday night, the Armagh native spoke of competitions like the Fitzgibbon and Sigerson Cups running over longer schedules in the future.
