While Kerry haven’t collected an Under 21/20 All-Ireland football title since 2008, current manager Tomás Ó Sé remains convinced that, even without silverware at the grade, players are still being brought through to senior level.

As he finalises his preparations for a second season at the helm, beginning with a trip to the Phase One runners-up Clare in Quilty on Wednesday, Ó Sé was realistic about his overall role and refutes the suggestion that winning trophies is more important than producing players on the assembly line for senior intercounty management.
